Stephen Robert Irwin or Steve


famously known as "The Crocodile Hunter" ( The Crocodile Hunter) was born on February 22, 1962 in Essendon , Australia. He was an environmentalist and television personality, the personality of Irwin and their performance in the series, an offbeat series about wild nature, brought him international fame. He was also the owner and ran the Australia Zoo in Beerwah , Queensland.


Steve Irwin moved to Queensland with his parents as a child, they ran the zoo Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park (Parque de reptiles and fauna of Queensland), where grew up surrounded by crocodiles and other reptiles . In 1991, Irwin begins to direct the zoo from their parents, and renamed Australia Zoo, where he met his wife who was Terri Raines . In 1992 he married, on their honeymoon takes to film the first series material The Crocodile Hunter ( Crocodile Hunter), a series that achieved great success in America.


Steve Irwin was multifaceted, coordinated the activities of the zoo, the television series, the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation Foundation and International Crocodile organization Rescue . In 2002 he issued his first film The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course. The film received negative reviews, but caused great excitement among the fans of Irwin .


In 2003, the TV channel Animal Planet issued a special chapter in the series The Crocodile Hunter , entitled " Crocodiles & Controversy " (Crocodiles and controversy) where Irwin gave his views on the baby incident Bob and the incident in Antarctica.


The biggest controversy came during a performance, on January 2, 2004, when Irwin took his son Bob (still a baby) on the arm while feeding a crocodile with the other hand. The baby was very close to the crocodile, child advocacy groups, advocacy groups of animals and viewers have criticized the action, calling it irresponsible equivalent to child abuse. There was no charge against Steve Irwin, although police visited him at home to warn not to repeat the incident.


In June 2004, Irwin again be the subject of controversy when playing with some penguins, was accused of disrupting the lives of some animals (whales, sea lions and penguins) while filming a documentary in Antarctica. Interacting with Antarctic wildlife in an inappropriate manner, possibly violated international and Australian federal laws, the matter was closed, no charges were filed against Irwin .


Steve Irwin died on September 4, 2006 at 11 am, while filming a documentary for his daughter Bindy, under the sea in Queensland, Australia. He stood on a stingray's tail whip and it went up and smashed into his chest and put a hole in the heart. He died doing what he loved most, though he immediately evacuated to hospital in Cairns, Australia, was pronounced dead just entered the medical center. Attack of the line was recorded on video, but few people have had access to it. His death sent shockwaves through the world, 5000 people found including celebrities like Kevin Costner attended an event reminder, at the zoo Australia, another 300 million people saw through the television. His Tomb is located in the Australia Zoo .
