Juan Melchor Bosco Occhiena    
   
  
         was a Catholic priest, educator and nineteenth-century Italian writer. He was born in   Becchi, a hamlet of Castelnuovo   Asti, Italy  , an August 16, 1815.   Characterized by its special concern for youth, earned him the respect of civil and religious authorities of his time and country, and a significant reputation abroad.  
   founded the Salesian Congregation    , the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help    , the Association of Salesian Cooperators     the  Bulletin  and  Salesian Salesian Oratory     ,   the development of a modern educational system known as Preventive System     for the education of children and young people and promoted the construction of educational work in the service of neediest youth, especially in Europe and Latin America    . He was one of the priests are closer to the pontificate of Pope Pius IX     achieved while maintaining the unity of the Church   during the harsh years of the consolidation of the Italian State and clashes between it and the Pope   .   was the author of numerous books, all aimed at youth education and defending the Catholic faith.  
   In its nine years has a transcendental dream it marking his life:   are among a crowd of kids who laugh, play and blaspheme. Johnny tries to silence them with his fists. Then appears a character who calls him by name and says, "Not with blows, but with gentleness and love." Then appears a lady who declaims: "Behold your field, become humble, strong and robust." Immediately the kids turned into beasts became meek lambs, then the lady puts her hand on Johnny's head and pronounces: "In due course you will understand everything" .  telling his dream, his mother Margarita guess his future: "Maybe someday become a priest."  
  San Juan Bosco   died on August 31, 1888,   His body remains incorrupt in Bas      Ilica Maria Auxiliadora in Turin, Italy.    
    Juan Bosco, known worldwide  as Don Bosco    was declared Holy    by Pope Pius XI  a 1 April 1934, just 46 years after his death in 1888 and was given the title of  " parent, teacher and Friend of Youth  " by Pope John Paul II  . Towns, provinces, parks, streets, theaters, museums, universities and colleges all bear his name. The Salesian Family is one of the most Catholic groups in the world and there are numerous works of Don Bosco in 130 countries.
