Felix Maria de los Angeles  Güereña  
  
   was one of the symbols of   Mexican cinema in its golden age and one of the great myths of the English-language film , was known internationally as "La Doña  " and "Maria Bonita  "  
    was born in Alamos Sonora , an April 8, 1914. His father, Bernardo Felix, descending   Yaqui Indian, his mother Josefina Güereña of English descent.   had 11 children. During his childhood he had a close relationship with his brother Paul, while the mother separated them, believing they could engage in an incestuous relationship, sending him to military school, where he later committed suicide, attributing this occurrence to the forcible separation.  
       Maria Felix was known as La Doña     for his role in the film Dona Barbara    , based on the novel  eponymous  Romulo Gallegos.  
 
 
   Maria Felix, made three films that embody internationally Enamorada (1946), Río Escondido (1947) and Maclovia (1948). His fame grew when she married the poet Agustín Lara musician who composed the song Maria Bonita.  fathered a son, Enrique Alvarez Felix.   
 
          
    
  
     Maria Felix died while sleeping in the Ciduda of Mexico a April 8, 2002, the day of his funeral the people stationed at the way towards the Pantheon   Frances Cemetery, shouting  Viva Maria Bonita! , Viva La  Doña !
