was a military hero and French saint, also known as the Maid of Orleans (French: La Pucelle) was born un January 6, 1412 in the region of Lorraine, France, in a small village called Domremy , located in the department of the Vosges.


At 17 years headed the French royal army, persuaded Charles VII to expel the English from France and gave it authority over his army. Throughout the battle he fought in 1429 and 1430, was involved in the coronation of the monarch, as a reward the king exempted the hometown of Joan of Arc (Domrémy) annual tax to the crown.
